3. How Payments & Fees Work
When a client pays through a Zplit link, two types of fees apply:
3.1 Zplit fee (platform fee)
Zplit charges a 2% fee on the total client payment.
This is our platform fee for automating the split and triggering collaborator payouts.
The Zplit fee is only applied on successful payments.
3.2 Stripe fee (payment processing)
Stripe processes the payment and charges its own standard processing fee (for example, a percentage of the transaction plus a fixed amount, depending on country and payment method).
This fee is set and collected by Stripe, not by Zplit.
Any Stripe discounts or special pricing you have with Stripe still apply.
3.3 How the split is calculated
The client completes payment on a Stripe-hosted checkout page.
Stripe processes the payment and deducts its processing fee.
Zplit applies the 2% Zplit fee to the total client payment.
The remaining amount is divided between collaborators according to the percentages you configured.
Each collaborator’s share is assigned to their Stripe-connected account.
You can decide whether to absorb these fees yourself or build them into your project price for the client.
