create or manage split payments through our platform, or

1. Who we are
Zplit is a platform that helps teams and collaborators split client payments automatically. We use Stripe and Stripe Connect to process payments, support payout onboarding, and route payouts to connected accounts. Zplit does not hold or store user funds.

2. Information we collect
We collect information in three main ways:
2.1 Information you provide to us
When you use Zplit, you may provide information such as:
Account and contact information – name, email address, company or team name, and role.
Authentication information – information associated with your sign-in method, such as Google account details when you sign in through Google.
Project and split information – client names, project or split names, collaborator emails, percentages, and related payment setup details.
Payout-related information – limited payout and onboarding-related information necessary to support Stripe Connect account setup and payout status.
Support and communication information – messages, feedback, or questions you send us by email, forms, or other support channels.
We do not collect or store full credit card numbers or full bank account credentials. Payment and payout credentials are handled directly by Stripe.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit our website or use the platform, we may automatically collect:
Usage data – pages visited, clicks, features used, timestamps, and related activity data.
Device and log data – IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, and error logs.
Cookies and similar technologies – information used to remember settings, maintain sessions, and improve the user experience.
2.3 Information from third parties
We may receive limited information from third parties, including:
Stripe – payment status, payout status, connected account identifiers, refund status, and related transaction metadata needed to operate the Services.
Authentication providers – such as Google, to support account sign-in and identity verification within the platform.
Analytics, hosting, and communication providers – where applicable, to support performance, reliability, and communications.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
provide, operate, and maintain Zplit;
create and manage split payment workflows;
configure collaborator payout rules;
display dashboards, split status, payment status, and payout activity;
support Stripe onboarding and payout-related flows;
communicate with you about your account, product updates, support, and security alerts;
improve, test, and develop our Services;
detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues;
enforce our Terms and other platform rules; and
comply with legal obligations and lawful requests.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How we share information
We may share information in the following situations:
4.1 Service providers
We work with trusted third-party service providers that help us operate the Services, such as providers for:
payment processing and payout infrastructure (for example, Stripe),
hosting and infrastructure,
authentication,
analytics and monitoring, and
email and communications.
These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services and are expected to handle it securely.
4.2 Collaborators on your splits
When you use Zplit to manage split payments, certain information may be visible to collaborators involved in that split, such as:
the project or client name,
their payout percentage,
payment or payout status, and
the identity, name, or email of the person who invited them.
We only display information necessary to operate the split and maintain transparency among collaborators.
4.3 Legal and safety reasons
We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:
comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal process, or lawful governmental requests;
protect the rights, property, or safety of Zplit, our users, or others;
investigate fraud, abuse, or security issues; or
enforce our agreements or defend legal claims.
4.4 Business transfers
If Zplit is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will use reasonable efforts to ensure any successor handles your information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Zplit is not directed to children and is intended for use only by individuals who are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in their jurisdiction.
